The Qantas American Express Ultimate Card 75k Points + 75 SC Bonus (Qantas)

I took out this card in November when the offer was 100k pts. Received the bonus.
Took out an explorer card in January (Ultimate Card still open). Received the 110k bonus. Don't know if it made a difference but I created a new username for it.

Yes everyone gained the sign-on points during those periods and earlier.

The doubt has arisen for new applications after 31st 2017.

Told a mate to apply for this after inland cc and balance transfer. So he gets all SC fever and applies for this and thinks he can balance transfer 0% and then buy ticket and not be penalised.
I told him the buying ticket will forfeit the balance transfer 0%?????

Edit: mate reckons he has spoken to two Amex operators and been told he can balance transfer AND buy a ticket\spend $1500 and not have his 0% balance transfer rate affected...as long as he paid off flight on statement date?
I am sure you have to make purchase---->pay--->0 balance on card----->then balance transfer--->put card in freezer!---->pay min balance on statement for 11months????????????????

So how does the domestic travel insurance work on lost\stolen items please?
How far from home? Does it need to be flight out of state?
Excess fee?

Just wondering if anyone has experienced the 18mo exclusion on this card in the past few months (since Jan)?

Given the ANZ changes, I'll be cancelling my Black and am looking for an AMEX card. I don't currently hold one, but cancelled the QFF Premium in August 2016.

I'll be sure to check out the referral thread if I go for this one

Just wanted to know about the 75 status points. It says you have make a booking and fly by 30 sept. But do you have to have returned by then?

In same boat as global_nomad, with ANZ ditching AMEX. T&C plus previous posts suggest that the ANZ AMEX does not disqualify from this promotion. Leaving one main question for me regarding the requirement to book a flight between Mar 6 and Sept 30. All my travel is booked through my company's AMEX corporate travel agent (SERKO). Would this mode of booking satisfy the T&C: Flights must be booked at Qantas.com. ????

Just wondering, can this card be in Credit, I have a bill to pay and want to use the AMEX so I can get points, but my limit isn't enough. Can I bring the account into credit and then pay the bill?

I asked a similar question a while back and the general consensus at the time was no - but I see Dr Ralph has commented in another thread recently, that he has been putting his direct Amex cards into credit successfully for a number of months, without any repercussions.

The T&C's state 8-10 weeks, presumably from the date of the return flight. I took the flight a week into April, no SCs yet here either, think I'll wait until 10 weeks have lapsed before calling AMEX.

I just noticed this offer, unfortunately it closed last month!
Is there any other offers with status credits, apart from ANZ, which I completely refuse to join!
