The Operational Upgrade Thread

Nice serfty!!!

Good to know they still happen on the particular ticket class which you booked also :)

Op Up From y to j MEL-DXB QF9 on 13/4/14 and then on QF1 DXB to LHR on the 14/4/14. and managed to get 13E and 11B in the mini cabin :D

Thank you Qantas

Sorry - I'm feeling cryptic this morning ...

There are four configurations of aircraft that Qantas use transpacific, three are B744 and one A388.

Of the B744 configurations only one has a row 5 - it does not have a seat 5A! ;)
Nice upgrade. After stuffing you around you deserve some love.

Can you fly a plane? ;)

Sadly no, but have thought about it. Maybe in retirement ;)

Apparently the crew bunks are quite comfy, or at least the FA on QF1 last week led me to believe. Now I think of it, I hope that wasn't an invitation when she told me that...! ;)

Not getting any opup love lately, but booked in F there's nowhere to go. Crew bunks perhaps? ;)

I'd consider a crew bunk to be a downgrade from Y :p ok maybe not the pilot ones behind the coughpit but the one under Y most definitely a downgrade.

Apparently on the 388 they're a fully flat bed, rivalling first in width and length, so I was told...

No beeps boarding QF127 today...thought travelling on Good Friday would assist as it looks pretty full!

One of my staff is on that flight today!!, he didn't get an op up (he is now gold)

Got my first one in years yesterday on QF662 ADL to BNE. WhY was pretty full, and some seat re-organisation landed a few of us the jewel. Never had one while I was WP, so may be dropping down a status notch helps?

It's coming to the end of school holidays in NSW, so if anything, QF128 would be the more likely one to get an op-up.

That may be, but you've got about as much headroom as a coffin in the main one downstairs. The one behind the coughpit is quite nice actually, couldn't mind that one.

Sounds like a Skybed ;) but point well made. I certainly wouldn't consider it an upgrade from F. If only QF could fit doors to their F suite!

Op-Up last week SIN-BRI on QF52.. Y+ --> J. It was done at the gate. Fight was almost full. This was after a long gap no Op-Ups...
