Very amusing article.

A top tier with unpublished qualification requirements seems like the gateway to hell to me.

At least with QF you know exactly how much flying it takes to get to WP1 (and how much you fly is completely irrelevant for CL).
 
I like the limo service idea for connections.
Wish QF would offer that between Dom and Int terminals in SYD for P1/CL and F pax, or even some other types of special (and consistent) ground services.
