Nice and concise TR.

Thanks! My TR didn't go into much detail of the SQ A340-500 J-class product. The seats and service are no doubt similar to other SQ long haul products. The stated pitch of 64" is more than on the SQ A380s and 77Ws but I didn't think it felt particularly roomy when seated. I did try a few of the seats and found that the window seats had just a bit more legroom than the centre pair. All the seats, when converted into a bed, have the passenger in a diagonal position with their head closest to the aisle and their feet in a cut-out that's on one side of the seat in front. The window seats allow the passenger to stretch their feet just a little bit more into the gap between the seat in front and the cabin wall. It wouldn't matter unless you were taller than about 6' 1", but it made a difference for me! (being 6' 2.5").

What I enjoyed the most on the flights were the extended periods of quiet time. Hours and hours of calmness and a feeling of privacy. With so few passengers on my flights I hardly noticed them, especially on the EWR-LAX flight after I moved early in the flight (to escape the feet-up-on-seat person behind me that I DID notice) to another window seat that had no-one in front, behind or across the aisle. :)
