Oh and the joy of having a battery that lasts! My 6S would be down to 50% by 8am after taking it out with me on a morning run and streaming music from it for 40 minutes.

Apple will replace phone battery - either swop out battery or give you a 6S refurb if the battery cap is <80% duringf the warranty period which in AUS is typically 2 years (one year Apple + one year statutory consumer warranty).

Cost for 6s battery if no warranty left is $108 (battery plus labour)

Tazza, Might be worth scoring a free battery if still within warranty
I’m having mine done today. Just 1.5 hr wait.

Mine was calculated at 80.47%

So no need for iPhone x yet

I’ve actually had the web page loaded on my browser to log a battery replacement for my 6S for a few weeks now. I decided to wait until I got the new iPhone before doing it to save having to restore everything to my 6S and then having to do it all over again with the new phone.

Apparently my old iPhone falls within a group of affected devices that can claim a free swap of the battery for three years. I’m planning on getting that changed and then handing it down to a family member.

iPhone 6s Program for Unexpected Shutdown Issues - Apple Support

Thanks for the additional info regarding the battery swap! I would have definitely looked into it if the old one wasn’t eligible via the unexpected shutdown “recall”.

Our 7 contracts still have ~ 10 months to go ... the kids want us to go early for obvious reasons. I like to keep them waiting;) they are very keen to get their hands on our 256G devices.

Was thinking that’s a lot of points via CC plus Qantas Mall Apple store = triple points per dollar.
At 7 iPhone X 256 plus Apple care = $14000 x 3 = 42000 points!!

If Qantas Mall is like Velocity/ANZ Rewards, then iPhone X isn't included in the points offers at the moment :(

...realising of course that $14,000 spend on iPhones would be interesting
