a fool and his money are soon parted..
Old 6 is struggling and like the new unlock process (if it works)
Just confirmed delivery a few days after the 3rd, so no order backlog yet

Maybe its a message about a drug drop off and they think the cops are listening?

T'would seem to me that not only has a fool and his money been parted, but an AFF member has had his account hacked.

Either that or he is p!ssed?

Awww…….. really guys………I know it's flidai and everyone is tired…..but…..
The iphone ten was released for sale this afternoon.
Whirlpool is positively red hot with supplicants worshipping the apple altar
Within an hour of release the delivery is out to many weeks.

Add me to the list of people that attempted (and was finally successful) to part with a large sum of money for a phone this evening.

“Attempted”, because both the Apple Store app on my current iPhone and the Apple Store website on my computer wouldn’t refresh to indicate that the pre-ordering had commenced, despite checking repeatedly. It took until about 6:15pm for anything to begin working, by which point the shipping date was 2-3 weeks.

Added to my cart, I attempted to check out with the 2-3 week delayed product.

“Attempted”, because as was becoming normal, the system wouldn’t allow me to actually check out. After several attempts, my cart refreshed with a 4-5 week shipment time frame. How wonderful.

28/11 to 4/12 shipment - the exact dates I’m going to be interstate. Har. Har. Har.

It was a mad zoo when the embargo was lifted at 6.01 esdt , Tazza.
Apple website was overloaded along with Optus and Telstra
I'm probably lucky to be a Virgin customer as the website seemed quite orderly .
Virgin are now quoting 4 weeks delivery.. quick and the dead.. :)

Oh. You'll forgive my ignorance; I have no idea or care about the coming and goings of iPhones. Am I the only one?

Have been most of the day in the Greek national archaeological museum in Athens; the event seems to have passed it by un-noticed.

That could just about be the only thing you and I agree on.

Who really cares about being the first to order any product? Don't understand.

This Twitter :

@rh_monitorAU has a twitter account which parses iPhone X availability from Apple Stores in some countries including AUS.
Each time an X is available a tweet appears. Then click on the reserve an iPhone link and go to Apple store which has the phone to pickup

Good for those who “NEED” an iPhone Xnow rather than waiting 3-4 weeks

The reserve an iPhone link seems legitimate. I used it with my dummy appleID and the appropriate security padlocks appeared

I wasn’t going to get one (I have a 7 plus) until I had a play around with it in the Apple Store during the week. The weight, size, screen resolution and camera are a vast improvement.
Now I am getting one so in the definite fool category :D

I received mine by mail on release day.
It was a bit of fun working the system , but it's really just another phone in terms of the novelty factor.
I like the face recognition which is fast and reliable and everything else seems cleaner clearer and faster then the old 6 it replaces.
It has to be in a case as naked it is like a piece of glass.. slippery and likely super easy to drop.
It's also noticeably heavier in the pocket.

I ended up picking one up on launch day, and cancelling my pre-order.

I love it. A vast improvement over my previous 6S, most notable in its speed. No lag, as I experienced constantly on my old device.

Face ID is brilliant, and the removal of the home button has resulted in a UI that feels more fluid and natural than ever.

The only thing I’m having to adjust to is pulling down from the top right of the screen for Control Centre.

Oh and the joy of having a battery that lasts! My 6S would be down to 50% by 8am after taking it out with me on a morning run and streaming music from it for 40 minutes.

Happy camper with the iPhone X over here.
