They offered both coca and pepsi colas?

Does that happen anywhere today?

I found out yesterday that I had experienced a different QF plane. It was on our honeymoon in 1971.I knew we flew Qantas but at the time was not interested in what plane it was.But this was it.

We were having coffee on our last day on Norfolk and an old fellow asked how we were enjoying it.We told him we first came in 1971 and he replied so you got to enjoy the DC4.Well I guess we did.

Doc - they were 10 cents a packet in my canteen on HMAS Yarra. (Duty free) I couldn't afford NOT to smoke. I was saving 35 cents a packet. Who wouldn't do that?

Me! I actually gave up smoking when I was serving on HMAS Vampire and paying the same prices. Best thing I ever did.
