The Flightradar24 appreciation thread

This evening's Brisbane storm is making things tough for the pilots.

VA1118 had a go at 01L, then tried 19L...

While SQ265 tried 01L before going around to try 19R.

Plenty more holding and hoping the storm passes quickly.

Looks like a Qatar 777 is the next contestant on 19L.
One little storm creates havoc. Miss brissy is on jq825 bne-syd, last flight (and delayed) to syd, should arr curfew -5min (subject to atc delays 🤣)
Apparently many cancellations, she said that the jq information desk was overwhelmed.

A line of storms going through bne, again. Pilots making a variety of decisions, some go east, some go west.Screenshot_20251114-172626.Flightradar24.png

JQ888, already running a few hours late, took the long way around from BNE to MKY the other night:

Other departures from BNE were also heading south first. I wonder if a certain section of airspace was closed.

NZ261 (ADL-CHC) on 22 December also took an odd flight path. Flight took an hour longer than usual.

The inbound aircraft went a similar way, so presumably there was an MEL requiring them to remain closer than usual to an airport at all times.
