At the far end of the garden there is a small lake with a big fountain.This was very popular with the Chinese groups and there were selfie sticks everywhere.They wouldn't hesitate to push in on you if you were in their desired spot.So believing in Fred Daly's version of the golden rule i would push in on them.So a few clear shots.

Mr.Butchart was into cement.The business became Portland cement.Now I had an uncle who lived in Portland NSW which had a cement business.I spent many holidays in Portland.
There are reminders around the gardens of the past and photographs of the quarry which became the sunken garden.
