The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

I think that I have found the issue that is screwing up my DPO-MNL booking attempts. In the little shopping basket icon at the top of the screen the Qantas system has saved a potential DPO-MNL booking from when I was first looking at dates a couple of weeks ago - I suspect that is the problem - even though very helpfully it can't actually load the booking as it is having "technical issues" - and because it can't load the booking I cannot delete it to resolve the problem... aargh!

And the update is that the call centre can't even find this pseudo booking anywhere to try to cancel it so I'm stuck at the moment...

Those “Shopping basket” things are just prior searches and are like “Evil dead” - impossible to delete but are usually replaced by another search.

Going to have to hit up Qantas FF yet again. :(

Put through two transactions at Lotte duty free at MEL last night. Both lots of points showed up on my activity statement but only one of them actually credited. Quite a nasty bug that one, as if I hadn't checked before getting on the plane beforehand, I wouldn't have noticed the discrepancy and assumed all was well.

EDIT - the response back was basically 'the points are in your activity statement, so therefore they have credited'. Sigh...

Impossible to delete is totally correct - damn thing is worse than mould!

Just buy the trip, it will leave the shopping basket.

And I still can't get rid of this stupid phantom booking - and the staff on the premium line are no help either. Just phoned up again and initially the staff member said that the system didn't allow them to see these system created but not paid bookings so then I asked if she could put a supervisor and on and magically she then found the booking... but couldn't delete it. Damn thing is doing my head in!

Ive had a phantom booking stuck in my cart for months but it hasnt stopped me from making other bookings. So im not sure its the root cause of your problem.

Have you tried creating a different booking through to payment, and then exit?
It may replace your phantom booking and allow you to proceed.

I did try that but the problem has persisted so I've just made a domestic booking to replace the international phantom to see if that makes any differences - as you can tell I am running out of ideas!
