Anyone having second thoughts about traveling to Europe in the next 6 months ? Some of the reports about border crossings sound a bit daunting. I have travel booked in Slovenia, Hungary and Czech Republic and am having some doubts.

I'm not planning to travel, but I wouldn't be having any doubts if I was. I've crossed the borders you mention by car and I can't imagine tourist types having any difficulty; to have the internal borders 'closed' would be unthinkable. You might get slowed up if you hit a 'surge' but again, with a passport and travel plans you should be fine.

At the moment, you shouldn't have any trouble. Unless you look like an asylum seekers you are unlikely to even get asked for documents. And even if you do as long as you can produce documents you should be fine. This is from my experience of the last few weeks crossing from czech Republic to Austria to Italy to France.

Nope, I'm off on Wednesday to AMS and FRA for the weekend, going between the two via train. Should be out of the worst areas but I also have an EU passport.

I'd say most people would be fine.

We're booked and ready to go! 4 weeks over Xmas - Italy, Norway and Paris .... can't wait.

Booked for 5 weeks over December and January.
No second thoughts whatsoever.

The only thoughts I've had as a result of the "crisis" is whether I should hire a car and drive some refugees from Greece to Germany.

That would certainly make a road trip with a 'difference.'

I'm off to Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Poland, Slovakia - nope, no reconsideration at all!
