After moving to the competitor, I received an email from Qantas 3 months ago advising of Double status credit offer and to tell me that I was needing 160sc to renew Gold. Despite not flying at all with QF since the email, they have renewed my Gold membership for an extra year. Very happy with this. Not sure if I will use it but it is a nice gesture anyway.

I have a flight booked for myself and parents in July Darwin to Cairns. The only one at the moment, everything else is with VA. (Unless Red Roo status matches my platinum card) hint hint :lol:

Anecdotes had indicated that one's status does not downgrade immediately but hangs in there a few days, possibly lest enough late inbound SC's wend their way to your account.

I've modified the title ...
