No mention of economy seats, food, golf clubs etc. Will make the cost the same as full cost carriers. Will suit some people who travel light.

Unfortunately they still use DMK which makes it a bit of a PITA if you are transferring to a flight from BKK

And is a pretty horrible airport.

There are direct buses between the two airports, and at some point (currently 2021/22 but this is Thailand) the rail line extension via Bang Sue will open

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Is that the basic airfare? At first glance does not look very good unless you're happy travelling carry-on only with food and drink.

For economy that's the basic fare. Food (actually really cheap on Air Asia) + bags extra. For the premium cabin food and bags included.

DMK is often quicker for getting through Immigration. I wonder why there are no flights showing for November/December. Is the advertised start up really just a trial run?

What a difference a year makes:

True. But by 9 April you'd have to hope that all Thais living in Australia that want to go home will have done so, and vice versa for Aussies in Thailand. After that, it's going to be pretty hard for Aussie to get in to Thailand given the requirement for health insurance to cover $100,000 of Covid treatment.

The XJ axing of BNE is not really surprising considering the dismal <60% loads outside of peak season.

80%ish loads during the peak season didn't help with the "wrong aircraft" despite the lower frequency. May be a slim possibility of surviving had it been a "A321NEO-LR" route.
