LOL. You might be aghast to learn I iron sheets and tea towels but I don’t bother with towels (except the linen guest hand ones). I use the iron nearly every day. :p:D

Aghast indeed! No-one should iron towels either, that impairs their absorbent qualities. I use the iron every day as well, when not ironing my clothes, mostly to keep the door open to let the breeze in.

When we were newlyweds I only ironed the fronts of Rons shirts as he wore a white coat at the hospital - my mother was horrified by this so ironed all of Rons shirts from then on - none of my stuff - just Rons !! :p

Noooooo. Really? My SIL irons all the time. She posted a picture of her young grandchildren learning to iron on FB with the caption “ teaching them a life skill”. My reply was maybe a better life skill was teaching them to buy clothing that didn’t need ironing. Her daughter, my niece, loved it. She takes after me in the housekeeping area.

I love cotton sheets and they do crease in the dryer (remember no clothes line) so to get that nice crisp feeling I always give them a (quick) iron. I don’t starch things anymore though, except for a few of my clothes and that is spray on starch so it doesn’t count. :p

There just isn't a button that expresses my amazement at this :p- I admire you but I just can't do it. I do have an iron but it's only for guests - I gave away the ironing board ages ago though

We travel with bulky ski clothes and I find the roll up travel bags very useful. I think they probably compress down to a half of their usual height but the length remains about the same. They are very light and, as long as they have been sealed correctly, they stay airtight. Would recommend them.

We have an iron and ironing board
The ironing board is occasionally grumbled at as it is the other bedroom's wardrobe
The iron is.....ummm around somewhere.
Husband probable used maybe 5 times in 2018
We had for boy child when he lived at home at his ironed all his shirts for work
He now takes them to a dry cleaner weekly and leaves in his office . Ironing not a big thing
On the navy side my dad did such good ironing and those creases were perfect. Actually so was his shoe polishing.
Another kinda lost art ?

Nope, Navy still does that.

You’ll be pleased to know I’m sure that I didn’t iron yesterday but this morning have already knocked off what was in the basket - mostly serviettes and tea towels. :):p

Its only just 9am? I’m still sipping coffee in bed here. Thinking about going to our first ever non CBD Boxing Day sale here in Adelaide. We ran out of TONIC!!!!

My admiration and astonishment continues - enjoy

How can you run out of tonic - that's just sacrilege. I'm not leaving the house today and the aircon is already on

They need to be given a formal warning
They were. They had no tonic. It’s called consequences.

That’s why I take control of the drinks cabinet at our house. Much easier! :p

Well I do kind of as well but I don’t have spirits very often. Plenty of wine, beer, bubbly and as he had a recent birthday then gin and vodka. No mixer!

What is this "iron" you speak of?

Edit: Sorry, just noticed vps's earlier comment along the same lines. Accidental plagiarism.
