Well if your name is Terry McCann QF would refund your money. but I can assure him if your name is Mrsdrron they wouldn't and didn't.
Over the course of the pandemic she booked what was available at the time to travel to and from Tasmania whilst I was working there. She had flights booked on QF, JQ and VA.
No problems getting refunds on the cancelled JQ and VA flights but never happened with the QF flights. Status meant nothing.

At least in that attachment He did make one true statement in the last line "it's at least comforting that stupidity still reigns so pervasively" He demonstrates it beautifully.

A major problem here is the amount of taxpayer dollars thrown at Qantas to keep them afloat, with no provision for recouping. Now with the "huge profits" generated post-support.

A provision to provide the liquidity in 2020-21, at a "purchase cost" in say share issue(s) would have been a better way to go, and then when profits resumed, QF repurchasing government shareholding or government selling into market would have been the way to go.

But here we are.

Agree. Should have been some recompense for the taxpaye. While I appreciate that the opposition is rightfully trying to bring the government to task on the Qatar decision,
one must remember who gave QF billions without any strings or payback. Seems both major parties value their CL memberships. Haven’t seen anyone volunteering to give them up.

But let’s move on with an all party agreement to implement compensation rules for airline customers.
