Tell Coles Survey

Yes, I usually do one of these once a month. I enjoy the survey and I can usually use the coupon on my big Coles shopping trips.

I love the self serve checkouts especially in the after work rush hour, so quick and convenient

Please check your docket carefully after using a Tell coles $5 voucher or one of the flybuys $5 coupons. The my5 discount is calculated slightly differently in these transactions. The my5 discount and the Tell coles coupon show up as "loyalty discount". The tell coles voucher and the flybuys coupons show up on the receipt as a 1 cent value. This 1 cent is then taken off in the loyalty discount section.

The $5 vouchers show in the one place but the system actually calculates them as a small discount on every item. This means a tiny percentage comes off all the my5 products. The my5 10% discount is then applied to the reduced price of these items.

I was wondering why my my5 discounts were out by 10-20 cents or so when using these coupons in the same transaction and I got this explanation from coles customer care.

Thanks for sharing this. Just have to ask, in the end was the 10-20 cents in your favour?

No it wasn't. That's why I was chasing it in the first place.

The problem was happening on a regular basis so it will eventually add up to a couple of dollars. I chased it by email so it wouldn't cost me anything in phonecalls. I figured it was worth finding out what was going on.

You can now get 1000 flybuys points for completing this survey. You can only claim the bonus points once per month. The $5 voucher is still available for your next purchase over $100 but I haven't used one of these vouchers since September last year as all my Coles purchases have been under $100. The bonus points will take at least 4 weeks to credit to your account. My guess is that it will take a lot longer.

Thanks for this. Money for jam...4 minutes for 1,000 points.

I wonder how long the points really will take.

I like the offer of the monthly reminder.

Hi there, the points should be credited within 4 weeks. We appreciate that system and other issues have meant that occasionally we haven't met this standard. Going forward we hope to reduce this waiting time for many of our promotions.

Do you know what notation will appear next to the bonus points on the transaction listing in the flybuys account? Will it just say Coles or will it say Tell Coles? This information helps when reconciling bonus point transactions.

Welcome to the Forum. Look forward to having you onboard.

can I suggest contacting the site administrators whom may be able to give you an annotation as an official company representative, similar to the representation that Qantas and Virgin have in their forum posts.

These will show as ‘special bonus’ points for Coles. We realise this area needs improvement - we're working to make the descriptions clearer in future to assist members check and reconcile their points.

It's great that you are planning to make the descriptions clearer. I have 1000 points due soon from a Coles promotion in March and I don't want to get this 1000 points mixed up with the Tell Coles 1000 points.

According to my calculations, both the Tell Coles survey points and the other 1000 Coles promotion points have been added to my account. Thank you Flybuys.

Thank you and sorry for the delay in responding. It looks as thought the adminstrator has already verified credentials. :)

I was impressed when the points for my April survey(which I completed at the very start of April), appeared in my account before the end of April. Unfortunately the same didn't happen for the May tell coles survey. I completed the survey on May 3 and the points haven't appeared yet in my flybuys account. I'm hoping they will turn up soon. I guess some months will credit early and others will credit late. I haven't done the June survey yet. Hopefully I'll be able to do it this weekend.

1000 points were credited to my account in the last few days so I am guessing these are the points from the May Tell Coles survey. I've completed the June survey now. I hope the points for June turn up before the end of June. If they don't turn up before the end of June then I won't know whether the points that have just credited are for the May survey or the June survey.
