BA launched a programme to boost morale among cabin crew by encouraging them to mix more.
But the initiative - dubbed 'Hug A Pilot' - was taken to extremes by the married man and the stewardess on a foreign stopover between flights.

Doesn't sound like the most PC workplace program does it??? Although with flight attendants lining up to hug you I guess the captains weren't complaining (specially if you worked for an airline like Virgin)...

But i guess you've just got to be careful of these pilots by the sound of them as they are getting a bit overly frisky of late!!!

Salary for pilots is based on the aircraft they are operating and their ranking - hence the figure quoted could indeed be more than Qantas pilots earn on a similar aircraft. It is also not known if this figure includes super and other components, or how many hours are flown.

It is actually a very small group of employees which are paid the figures Joyce loves to blurt out at every opportunity.

More seriously, who came up with the name, "Hug A Pilot". For heaven's sake, the idea was good, and a case like this shouldn't kill it off. But unless this name was really just to take the p*** and make the whole idea lighthearted, it's a ridiculous name.

A friend of mine just got into QLink and I was so happy for him until he told me his package was 60K!!

You can work as an FA as long as you are over 18. However, not sure how many actually get through interviews and are offered a job.

A mate of mine started his FA training the day after his 18th Birthday. So yes, they do exist! This was only a few months ago.
