I use Guru (0402 700 053) in Sydney for work trips and family trips.
Justt whatsapp him and he is happy to help

He organises the vehicle depending on pax, luggage etc and baby seats, booster seats etc without issues.
Basically private cars & drivers (uber style). pickup is from the ride share area at SYD airport.

If you have kids they are also happy to make a quick stop at a servo on the way home to buy milk/bread etc without anything extra

yeah there's a huge whatsapp group where they all refer to each other (or get someone to fill in if they're late or busy or something happens etc)
i was replying to some messages on my driver's phone for him while we were driving once to pass some details on to another driver, the traffic was awful and he was going to miss his scheduled pickup after dropping me home so we organised for someone else to get the next one.

Is the service better only because you can get them to wait for you at a different "rank" or that the wait is shorter?

Delete the reference to ‘plebs’ as I hate that term - and ‘bogans’ too - we are all equal in the eyes of the ‘innkeeper’ - but YES now you are catching on

How does Jimmy do prices? Is it fixed between MEL and the suburb, and this is provided in the txt exchange? Or is it more fluid (based on rideshare fares maybe) and can change, for eg, in response the ME/fuel crisis?

When I lived in MEL, Wifey and I used to use a guy for airport runs who used (loved) 1970's mercs like 450SELs. Style never goes out of fashion. Terrific service and all that too of course - we ended up using them as our wedding cars!
