I am seeing award availability on Qantas for El Al business class from USA to TLV. Is there any way to know how much the taxes and fees will be before I transfer points from AMEX to Qantas?

Normally pretty low. It was less than $100 for TLV-BKK in J a few months ago.

If you start to go through the booking process it will tell you I believe …

Welcome to AFF @Philip1948

I think this will get you there BUT see caveat at the end.

Go to ITA: https://matrix.itasoftware.com/search

Enter one-way, your flight details (airline not required at this stage) etc

After 'search', you'll get results for all airlines, but you can select El Al only.

If you click on the fare on the left, you'll see the base fare and taxes

BUT I think buying the ticket through Qantas may vary the taxes and charges. Others here will know better than me.

I went ahead and transferred enough points to buy a Business Class ticket from JFK to TLV inn Dec 2023. It was 90,000 qantas points plus $23.00 USD. Seems like a great deal.

Post back on your J flight experience on LY. Would be interested to hear what it's like.
