tax office considers credit cards

Briefly heard something on the news about the ATO considerring credit card as an option to pay tax bills...

would prove a nice change from the traditional cash/cheque & YEEHAA on the FF points :DDD

You'll be paying!

Since the Reserve Bank forced through changes to the credit card rules, the payee can pass on the merchant fee (or part of it) to the payer. QF already do for credit card bookings. You don't seriously imagine the ATO will absorb the merchant fee, do you? You'll be paying your taxes plus 3%. I guess some people may think that's worth the points ...
