Have been hanging out for a DSC offer as that will be the value for money clincher for me to book a trip to the U.S. in February - but didn't receive the offer and so won't be going - and QF won't be getting the money which would have been for a full economy fare as that is how many SC's at DSC I need to make WP.

It's a pity they haven't bothered to gather/review data on all the previous DSC offers they've run. If they had they would know we have a track record for dropping some decent coin on spontaneous OS family holidays.

It's good for me as I haven't decided where we are going next year, had a few things planned but possible big changes in the WRC will probably mean not as many events attended as previous years, except Kenya, NZ and possibly the Japanese round at the end of the year.
Also given the fiasco with my 'damaged' passport, I'm now more inclined to fly in and out of Canberra with Qatar or Singapore and bypass Qantas.

I do wonder if the person means that the cabin service manager told their friend when doing the rounds.
If they have the iPad out and open on the ledge, you can see yourself. I've noticed this a few times over the years.
Without knowing the breakdown, 86 is probably not unexpected if you consider flights to/from Canberra. If anything you could have more than 86 political staff CL on one of those flights..

Have they approved the Safari for the WRC again? If so that is great news as it is one of the legendary rallies

I see that this is your first post :) Welcome to AFF !! Have a great time :)

No luck... been looking for a reason to drop Qantas for Sg, so at least they are giving me ammunition...

SG is great. My parents flew SG PE a few months ago, they thoroughly enjoyed it. They're very strict on what they eat, due to religious reasons and they were taken care really well by SG.

On this point though, have you considered VA :p

Mmm, have booked two One World tickets to South America, lined up a minimum of three additional international flights for 2020 and paid for 5 Domestic return tickets, also in 2020. Regrettably still waiting for the offer. A little further enticement might have been nice?!

Current Platinum (LT Gold) with a July renewal date sitting on 725 SC for this year to date and 475 to go with 10 bookings including an international one that should mean every flying discount economy I re-qualify.

I got a call last week apologising for recent delays and cancellations and indicting that to make up for that I would be sent a double SC offer this week - which I received Monday. They also asked for general QF feedback, how they could improve etc etc which all sounded like it went in one ear and out the other.

Did anybody else who received the double SC email get a call beforehand?

Unfortunately my travel for the second half of 2020, when I will need double SCs is not going to be organised in time to book this year, so I will get little value out of it :(

I just got an offer, as a resident overseas, for DSC on flights from my country of residence to Australia. Pretty similar dates, but in my local timezone.
Here are the T&C. It's not targeted, except that it only applies to HK residents. It also applies ONLY to flights between HK and Australia - no domestic sectors, or any other sectors.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members who reside in Hong Kong (with a Hong Kong address in their Frequent Flyer Profile) and register and make a new eligible flight booking between 12.01am (HKST) 30 October 2019 and 11.59pm (HKST) 5 November 2019 for travel between 6 November 2019 and 23 October 2020 are eligible to earn double Status Credits. Qantas Frequent Flyer members who reside outside of Hong Kong are not eligible for this offer. An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means a Qantas operated international flight with a QF flight number on your ticket between Hong Kong and Australia where Status Credits are normally earned. Connecting domestic flights to/from the eligible Qantas international gateways are not eligible for double Status Credits

Wow, that's very specific. Suppose they see the troubles in HK and reckon folks will be wanting to get out.

No offer for this US resident BTW.
