Excuse me, (hesitantly puts paw up)...
But don't we already earn 0.50 point per $1 spent paying bills with the VA VGW?
Barky, ah, its the bonus points.
I am not going to do anything unless it becomes (1:1)-1 point per $1 spent.
Why does REv only give us half a point, for spending and using our own money, its no risk to REv. Not using their money after all.
Not to mention it takes 1 day for money to appear, and then, has to be "approved", bleeding poochie poo, why approval?
Is it dodgy money we are moving around? After all, its our own money.
Anyway nuff said, I will just regular postbillpay, thanks Aust Post.

Bonus points, (!)... Bah, ... humbug!
I am more interested in getting SC and keeping my PS now adays.
I already get 300 Velocity points per quarter (give or take) paying Lumo Energy by direct debit anyways, in extra to the 0.50 points per $1 paid to them.

I just registered, using the link in the Velocity email, but the system never asked me for my Velocity number and I can't see anywhere to add it in so not sure how I'm going to get points ...

I had the same question, if the email address you use to register at aussie post is the same as your Velocity email address, points should show up in a couple of days.

Cheers,

Thanks Denali, yes you are right, just checked the small print on the original email:

Worth registering for the bonus points.

I also had the issue where it wouldn't recognise my address, so I put in the closest address, validated it then quickly changed it to the correct address and submitted before it could rerun a validation check.

I registered, got the 1,000 points. All good so far. Only a couple of possible bills in there for me, at the moment. I might move one into it, see how it goes.

I am in the took camp that took the 1000 point sign up points. Whether or not I will get any further points remains to be seen.

No Points yet.. Interesting when you click the link from the OP the URL has VFF number in it. .. not looking like it was for everyone....

I will also add, 2 of my friends signed up. The friend that received the email got the points and the friend with no email did not receive..

So do we need to add billers to our list to be able to pay them, or can we earn paying posted bills?

This promo must be working its way through the Velocity database. I received the email just yesterday so they must be down the the less active Red members..

For 1,000 points it's worth signing up by the looks.

Looks like the "matching' process didn't work too well. They now ask (optionally) for the Velocity number:

Terms and Conditions

*To earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points, you must sign up for MyPost Digital Mailbox between 12 February and 12 March 2015 inclusive. To be eligible to earn Velocity Points, you must enter your Velocity membership number at time of sign-up and your first and last name must match the information in your Velocity account. Velocity Points will be allocated to your Velocity Account within 10 business days from transaction date.

I signed up. Thoughts so far:

Relatively few useful providers-I have only managed to use Telstra and Sydney Water. Australia Post are there obviously and quite a few local councils for rates etc. They promise more will join but there has been little movement in the last year.

There are now two layers of security including an SMS access code (which might be tricky if you are overseas)

The bill reminder system is efficient

The stored card number interface is visually appealing and intuitive.

You don't have the option of paypal which I frequently use for Telstra as I can then get full Amex points

The points earned are not very high for big bills

Definitely worth signing up for bonus points
