Just for info.

Applied for a Tajikistan eVisa last week: https://www.evisa.tj/index.evisa.html#/

Very straightforward, with a pretty good FAQ. Cost US$50 and approved PDF e-mailed back in 4 working days. Note there seems to be no provision to save the application and return to it but you can submit before the payment stage (as I did) and you'll get an e-mail saying payment is outstanding with a link to go back and you put you DOB and i think passport number to re-enter to the payment stage.

One thing though. The visa will be valid for the day you specify as the date of entry, which the application form asks for. However the FAQ says:

Do I need to enter Tajikistan on the exact date specified in my application?
No. The validity period of your e-Visa begins from the date specified in your application. You can enter Tajikistan on any date within this period. Electronic visa of the Republic of Tajikistan is valid for 90 days, however the visa holder can stay in the territory of the country for no more than 45 calendar days.

So in theory you can specify a few days prior to your actual arrival date and then 'enter Tajikistan on any date' after that.

Good to know! I'm hoping to visit Tajikistan on my next visit to the region.
