Tailored Suits

I am so glad I can wear jeans to work ... And decent shorts when it's hot. The only time the good gear comes out for work is for important meetings with clients and sometimes interstate trips. I have one suit, made in Singapore in a place I can't remember on Orchard Rd and it cost me around AUS$500.

Probably shouldn't have bothered starting this post as it is little help to the OP, but I'm too far in to just cancel it.

You're not the only one suit wonder out there...

At work I wear jeans and a shirt, (done the shorts thing a few times, but usually only when I'm dropping into the office for no more than 30 minutes). I then own one good suit, which I wear when I head out to client sites or if I have a client visiting me in the office. I figure if I'm going to wear a suit, I'll do it properly and look really good, otherwise wearing casuals doesn't affect my work performance one iota, so I don't see any reason to go the half coughd suit which us office ppl used to be forced to wear.

Average price for a Boss 3 piece suit in AU is between $1700 - $3500.

That is a fair chunk of change...I don't want to spend more than $500. I plan on picking up a few Boss suits at the outlet stores in the US during my trip next Feb. I have now ceased all purchasing in lieu of said trip except essential Xmas items as I am ready for a big shop USA outlet style.
