Is there such a thing for JQ flights? Will be doing ZQN-AKL in a couple of months' time and have never flown JQ before.

I don't believe so. Jetstar seat selection is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Even at check-in, seats at the front or in exit rows need to be paid for (if not already taken).

I have no seat selection available for a SYD-HKT for a J class flight in mid-December. Either online, or via the call centre. They also do not know why seat selection is not available nor when it will open up.
