I have a few questions, hence posting here.

Planning a trip to JFK from SYD. Wish to book syd-lax vv in business class with V Australia. Luggage allowance is 2 x 32kg bags.

Wish to fly lax-jfk vv. My questions are:

1. Can I fly QF on this sector?

2. If I fly AA, what is the luggage allowance as a qff gold? AA website just shows 23kg checked, 18kg carry-on. What would AA charge for extra bag to check in?

3. I haven't checked other airlines who may have tie with V Australia whereby I can check in 2 bags.

4. Seems V Australia connection for lax-jfk is overnight service which leaves me hanging around airport for 5-6 hours at least. Is there V Australia Arrivals lounge to use for business class pax? I don't mind that as with Priority Pass, I can call in at every lounge at LAX. or take a short trip beyond the airport...Culver City maybe.

Have you looked at Virgin America as you "might" be able to get a flight from SYD JFK in J for slightly more than the SYD-LAX tix. (note I said might) Flights from Virgin America | Virgin Flights

I will check that out. I just wanted to check V Australia's business class product but am happy to fly any airline within NA but if I can use AA and have 2 pieces being OW sapphire, that will do me.

If you book the whole trip on vaustralia's website, you will get the 2 bags international business allowance for the internal flights as it will all be part of the same international itenary. The partners that would be available on the VA site are DELTA & VIRGIN AMERICA....
