Hi @kamchatsky - looks like this was a fantastic trip. I'm keen to know about your experience in Guilin/Yangshuo.

I'm planning to visit and am hoping to know how you arranged a car in Yangshuo (to/from station and hotel etc)?

I've read mixed experiences online about the availability of DiDis there compared to larger cities in China.

You are probably better off using AMAP app (Gaode) for hiring cars. That's what we used.

Yangshuo HSR station is in the middle of nowhere (MILES away from actual Yangshuo town) so it is hard to get anyone to pick you up from there.

It is much easier to hire a car FROM Yangshuo town/hotel to Yangshuo HSR station, than vice versa. We negotiated with one of the drivers when we were at Yangshuo town, to drive us next day to Yangshuo station, privately.
