I've got around 400,000 Qantas FF points and wish to fly to London with the family.

I notice that Qantas surcharges are still exorbitant on these long flights. I understand you can use the points for other carriers but I've had no luck in finding out how, or with whom. Can anyone assist? Flying between June and October I imagine.

Many thanks in advance

Going over in June returning October this year .

Edit : Re-read title

Flying from where in Oz ? Going over in June returning October this year . Your post is very vague.
Apologies. I thought that the info would be enough for what was a general query, as in how to uses my points with another carrier. It will be flying to and from Sydney. Trip duration will be around three to four weeks. Depart any time from around June to mid-September. Thanks!

Just had a very quick look for month of July and 4 x economy seats are no problem but points balance may be and $$$ may not represent good value.

Thanks for that!

And are there other airlines that allow you to not only use Qantas points but factor them into their calcs via a web search?

As you say that is still pretty $$$$ - I got over to London with Emirates in October last year for less than $1K and no points

Not the best flight times but 100k cheaper on points and still~$4k taxes

Still probably the way to go and book on QF flight number.
