Sydney on single runway, expect network wide delays

JQ726, the 2130 from HBA to SYD, was another non starter. I feel sorry for that plane, having to experience a seven degree night. At least the delayed JQ passengers may get to snuggle under an hotel crisp cotton sheet with a doona.

In quite a considerate move by the airline (no super early start!) it has been rescheduled as JQ7726 for an 0900 departure ex HBA and a claimed 1010 arrival in SYD, although in reality the change to the timetable would have more to do with sufficient crew rest hours than anything else.

I departed from 16R. Crosswind wasn't bad on the runway, but there was a pretty dramatic increase in the wind just after lift off.
