Sydney J Lounge Showers

I don't think we are on the same page with this as I am not talking about lounge access as you point out there are many ways to gain entry to the J lounge
Access to the J Lounge showers are based on J Lounge access, no?.

Though I agree that 2000FF points are basically useless shrapnel.

3.4 limits the airline's liability to the extent that 3.5 allows.
3.5 acknowledges the liability under Australian consumer guarantee

The issue here (apart from poor shower cleanliness) is the value of a lounge access. I suggest it has nothing to do with cost of airline ticket. This is because passengers on 2 different priced tickets who are eligible to use the lounge can use the same showers in the same manner without any difference in service levels - you don't get a better shower amenity just because a higher price was paid for the ticket. Similarly just because someone paid more for a J ticket does not entitle them to better amenities within the J cabin. The price of the ticket is the consideration paid in the Contract of Carriage for the flights for you and your baggage allowance. Lounge access incl shower access is not part of that Contract.

In order to get more blood out of the stone, the customer unfortunately would need to expend and waste more time pursuing this in some small claims or administrative tribunal as they may be entitled to under Australian Consumer Guarantee legislation.

bigger problem here are the grotts that do not clean up after themselves and take the towels out. Have had that a number of times in Sydney. Utter pigs.
Agreed. Unfortunately being in J, having necessary status, doesn't mean people have basic decency to clean up after themselves or put towels in bins etc.

Been a while since I've had a shower in a dom lounge but I vaguely recall the front desk in some lounges providing the towels.

It certainly isn't like the peak times at Singapore where there are dedicated shower attendants taking bookings, handing out towels and cleaning in between.
