Am flying with Virgin Atlantic on Friday from SYD to LHR

Am gold on Virgin Atlantic and Velocity - what are my lounge options at SYD?

Last time we went in the Air NZ lounge and it was ok - but nothing special (not a patch on the Virgin Clubhouses of London and Hong Kong)

Thanks
A

I believe your only option is the Air NZ lounge. You might be able to plead your way into the Singapore Airlines lounge by showing your Velocity Gold card, but there's nothing guaranteed there.

I didnt think access to the NZ lounge was possible when flying VS out of Sydney, as per the T&C VS/Velocity, no acecess for Prem or gold in partner lounges.

Can anyone confirm

As far as I can tell that's correct; however OP apparently has VS Gold, so that's enough to get him into the NZ lounge...

I am trying to find the details on this and failing miserably. (The VS website is as clunky as the VA/DJ website!) I can only find the following:

Sydney
Upper Class passengers are invited to unwind in the Air New Zealand International Lounge located in Terminal C - enjoy a snack in the cafe, sit back with a drink at the bar or make use of the business facilities.

...but logic would suggest gold FF's would get access?

Thanks all

Might try Singapore

If not - Air NZ wasn't terrible - just being a lounge snob ;)

So Singapore lounge said no - no worries - only had 45 mins so went to the Air nZ lounge

When i boarded though i got my frist ever op-up from Economy to Premium - guess my Gold membership is paying off :)
