I searched but couldn't find the answer (most people are concerned with opening times!)

Does the Qantas F lounge in International Sydney terminal close:
1. when the last Qantas Int F flight has departed, or
2. when the last Qantas Int flight has departed, or
3. when the last Oneworld flight departs (assuming that there is a OW flight after a Qantas flight - which I doubt).

Is the last QF flight out the 22:30 departing QF21 to NRT?

I am asking as I am on the QF21 soon, but not sure if the lounge is open or not (would love to eat at the lounge and sleep on the plane).

Don't know what the last QF Flight is but I would think that the lounge will stay open until the last OW scheduled departure.

that's correct - lounge is open from prior to first OW flight until the final OW is called.

Qf21 must be the last one out then - I have been there at 10PM for the 10:30 CX flight to HKG.

In MEL I have been in the F lounge at 5am (before the first flight to AKL) and there at 11.30pm before QF29 (soon to be a thing of the past - at least at that time). I assume the lounge stays open until the CX 178 departs at 1am, but do not know for sure.

cheers

My understanding is that in Melbourne the first lounge closes after the last Qantas flight (QF29 currently). Cathay have their own lounges that do stay open for CX178. While the Qantas Business lounge at MEL stays open until 2:30am when the Air Pacific Nadi flight leaves.

For Sydney due to the curfew it is likely that Qantas will always have the earliest and latest flights, or at least being very close to them. So the first lounge at Sydney will likely always be open a bit before 6am until 11pm.

MEL F lounge definitely has been closing after QF29 - the J lounge the night I was there stayed open until a FJ flight departed, leaving me with 25 minutes to await boarding to start for my JQ flight to AKL.
