Hi all,
In November I am planning a holidays to Fiji and I thought why not incorporate this into a status run. I intend taking the following flights:
Day 1 SYD-BNE in Y (QF)
Day 2 BNE-MEL-SYD-NAN in J (QF/FJ)
Day 7 NAN-SYD-MEL-BNE in J (QF/FJ)
Day 8 BNE-SYD in Y (QF)
I am wondering, is there any pitfalls to booking this fare? I have tried to book Day 2 and 7 on the Qantas website with no luck. The only way I have found to do it is on Expedia looking for the 3 sector flights. Is this the only way to do it to take advantage of the slightly increased fare for 4 extra domestic J sectors? Is there any issues with baggage not being able to follow for 3 sectors in a day? I will book the Day 1 and 8 flights as a simple return red e deal. I also believe it is a bit hit and miss whether you get F lounge access in Sydney flying a QF flight number on Air Pacific.
Thanks in advance
