SYD-LHR via HKG

I now see that you can purchase a VA ticket to LHR via HKG with HKG-LHR on VS.

However, checking for award tickets for the same route, the option doesn't show up. It seems you can only redeem via SIN or AUH. Similarly you can purchase a VA ticket to LHR via LAX with LAX-LHR on VS but no award redemptions available.

Would seem that award redemption on VS is not being offered or is it the case you can't do it online but only via the call centre?

You can use your Velocity points to fly VS from HKG to LHR if there is availability. But it won't be on the VA code (it would be the VS code, not that this really makes any difference for an award booking), and you'd have to call Velocity to book (as per above).

I called VFF about this last week, and was told they were waiting on scheduling and hopefully within a week, you'll be able to see HKG-LHR rewards.
