Any business fares? (I presume the 787 has business?)

Has anyone flown Jetstar business on the 787? Looking at seatguru it has a 38 inch pitch - so perhaps it is equivalent to a QF Premium economy seat?
A year or two ago I flew Jetstar ¨business¨ SYD - HNL and was NOT impressed.

Have flown 1K on the JQ 787 and it was fine.

As has been stated, more in line with the Y+ seating on the QF B744's and A388's

Also, the IFE units are built in, unlike most of the A332's that use iPads, and I thought the lumbar
support on the 787 seat was a lot better than what is used on the Airbus.

Regardless of that, I would hate to be in any row other than row 1, as reclining seats do very much
intrude on your space

Seat 1K on the inaugural 787 flight for Jetstar last year (plenty of leg room and I am 6"1')

We will both be Gold by then :( so we won't run into you in the lounge. But still the 75% points bonus is welcome.
When the points and sc is the same as QF syd-lax only cheaper I am happy to miss out on Disneyland (the only reason I go to LA, in 'n' out burgers to me are the worst so thats no reason for me to go to LA)
I haven't been on a 787 yet, it will be our first one as I don't think we will book any travel between.

A fellow Disneyland fan! I have also been an annual passholder, despite living in Australia, and I think I will be again next year as I'm going to go twice, and it's cheaper than two five day tickets :)

I'm also happy to fly to HNL rather than LAX and spend a couple of days in Hawaii. But I wouldn't miss Disneyland for it! Plus HNL - LAX 2555 miles - 150 status credits one way according to the calculator!

Have always thought the JQ star class so called J seats shouldn't recline as much as they do, had one in my face row 2 SYD/HNL.

The same goes for the Recaro J product on the domestic QF 330's. I feel sorry for anyone in Row 2 or behind.

I flew to Bali on the 787 last month and think the business class experience has gone backwards. The leg support on the new seats is cr*p with that iron bar foot rest digging into your feet after an hour or so. The cabin looks and feels cheaper. The economy pax in the forward cabin disembark first beating you to Immigration which was a huge advantage in arriving at your destination. Im sure the arm rest battle is worse than on the a330 as well. Those buttons on the side of the eat for reclining are useless.

The food is better though...

I would be interested to know whether i have a false memory of the airbus product or whetther you also think its gone backwards.

Is that with AA? I'm looking at options for SYD-DFW.

Last time I booked it, it was AA codeshare, in F, US Airways operated flight. Was fine, other than the fact that they attempt to starve you. It's a five hour flight from memory, and they gave us a teeny tiny fruit platter, with the "option" of eating it after we took off, or before we landed. Luckily I had just eaten Burger King because the lounge was closed in HNL, so I could save it for breakfast. Even so, it was totally inadequate and I was glad I was getting straight on anothe, AA operated flight. If you're flying US, take snacks!
