Supplementary Cards - general overview.

Thanks also from me SOPOOR and NoName - called up today to get supplementary cards for my Platinum Explorer and Mrs 2tall4Y's Qantas Ultimate.

For what it's worth, for both cards we were asked for the supplementary cardholder's DOB, address, phone number and driver licence number.

Rang to apply for Supp cards for my Plat Edge and Velocity Platinum for my Father-In-Law today. I was told by person I spoke to that it isn't done over the phone now, but he can email me a form with a link.

A couple of questions.
1. I assume that as per previous Supp card point offers this round must be done over phone? If so i will call back later.
2. I have always assumed operators receive bonuses (or have kpi's) based on products/services they can sell. Can anyone shed light on this, and if so why would I be palmed off by an operator?

Phoned and added a supp to each of my cards yesterday. Date I was given for the end of the promotion was May 31st.
 
Rang this afternoon to request another supp card on each of my accounts. Asked about the 3k bonus too (received it for both accounts last week). Explorer card she checked and yes I was eligible for the bonus. Mustn't have seen that I got the bonus for the supp card on this account I applied for last week. QF Ultimate Card she saw that I had applied for one on this account and received the bonus last week so said I wasn't eligible.

Will see how many (if any) bonuses I end up with from this second round of supp card requests.
 
The current promo (May 2017) doesn't apply to the Qantas Amex Discovery card. (I called and asked.)

This second round of supp cards is showing in my accounts and no bonus points so suspect agent was mistaken. So appears they are enforcing the onky bonus pts for 1st supp card rule.

Was informed first supp card only gets the bonus, so got one on the plat edge and one on the explorer.
 
I rang up yesterday to get supplementary cards for both my Edge and Charge. The CSR I spoke to was very helpful and she said the promotion lasted until the 25th of May for the Charge card and the end of May for the Edge. Make of that what you will.
 
I rang tonight for Supplementary Cards, (it was my 2nd try after being asked to apply online last time). 3k points offered without prompting for Plat Edge, but told no offer for Velocity Platinum. Possibly it has ended already?
 
well this latest vivid statement credit and also the bonus supplementary pts has made me get off my cough and add my brother for the 4 cards that I currently hold. Operator did state luckily I called today as it should be the last day that the supplementary bonus is available. He did say it was based on the account on whether it was available so get in quick guys because today could be the last day for most of the cards!
 
Has anyone else who has linked their rewards program have their bonus points posted for more than for more than 1 type or card? My explorer/edge/charge are on the premium ascent program, applied a supp card for each card but only 1 bonus 3000pts has been posted..
