Sunrise's five countries in five days

Not wanting to diminish the challenge of this particular itinerary, but five countries in five days is not that big a deal (although this particular five countries may be). In some parts of the world with a mobile broadcasting unit could do five countries in five hours, or less (eg. France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein).

If they were using a private plane they could do this in their sleep. However, I assume whoever is sponsoring this thing wants to get their moneys worth so will make the hosts jump through some sort of hoops.

I assume theyll have production equipment and crew set up and ready to go at each destination so all theyll need to worry about is getting the hosts to each location.

I doubt theyll be in Y so they can sleep onboard from one city to the next.

For what it is worth I did the USA, Ireland, UK, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Australia in five days mid august this year. :p It only took two weeks to get over it.

6 hours flying between these places at most if you do the routing correctly. Why does anyone think this will be challenging?

I much preferred their USA only shows.

I don't think the travel will necessarily be difficult. I do think keeping the 20 crew functioning for 5 days will be, though.

Can't imaging that there's any challenge with this at all.

Exactly. Friday/saturday departure to DXB. Then it's short 7 hour hops after the show each day.

Can't see sleeping in business class being that hard. It is only 5 days after all.

There seems to be a constant one upmanship competition between the Sunrise and Today shows on who can travel farthest, mostest, whatever. Getting quite tedious really.

So they're off to Dubai, London, New York, Niagara Falls & Cancun. I'd hazard a guess that it will be J class but the hardest thing will be deciding if Kochie needs a medal or a chest to pin it on!

I noticed one comment on the Ch7 Twitter feed said "it's like a millionaire coming to your house telling you they've won lotto."

Looking at their location, it is not even hard .....

I challenge them to do a show at North Korea ......

Not very hard when you've got USA, Mexico and Canada as three, and isn't New York to Niagara Falls about the same as Sydney to Canberra?

SYD-DXB is considerably longer than 7 hours.

I said 'between these places'.

Note from the story: "The show will be broadcast live from Dubai; London, UK; New York, USA; Niagara Fall, Canada; and Cancun, Mexico during the week." Therefore Sydney is NOT one of the places.

I would suspect they'd take the flight to Dubai on the Friday in plenty of time for the first show of the week on the Monday.

I imagine a number of journos will also be in the next location to prepare recorded reports to be played the following day.

Wonder what this frivolous chase for ratings will do for [-]global warming[/-] climate change

Meh about Kochie. I think there is a good caption competition for the lady on Kochie's right.

I'll start: "FFS!!!"
