Sunrise's five countries in five days

Well if the dollar drops any further the lady on the left in the Statue of Liberty clobber can hop off the subway at South Ferry and stand still for a couple of hours earning her keep as tourists walk past to the Staten Island ferry.

Now if only Kochie could shut the hell up for a couple of hours! I really hope for the comfort and safety of other passengers he's not seated in Emerald City assuming they're flying QF - they could well be on EK.

I'm personally thinking it will need to be with a variety of airlines, but perhaps within the same alliance (money is on OW).

5 Countries in 5 days, no small task, however no matter what the local time is, their schedule won't change. What ever timezone they are in they will need to be broadcasting between 6am and 9am AEST. Their body clocks might be a little confused by the changing time of day that the sun goes down, but in terms of their daily schedule, they can keep it linked with AEST.

As for what class they will be traveling? Money is on F. I can't see Kochie going through that without F perks.

I cannot stand Sunrise and I despise 'Kochie' (complete dinosaur). I'm occasionally subjected to it in the gym of a morning, and today I was appalled to see them subject Sir Richard Branson to a Rolling Stones cover band. A cover band! For goodness sakes, Branson would know the Stones personally. What a complete joke, Australia may not be the backwater of the world but Sunrise sure is the sludge that lies at the bottom of it.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough as we'll be subjected to a barrage of FIGJAM snaps of the Sunrise team in various lounges and in seats on board all their flights during the broadcast (boredcast ?) on tv and via as many other media portals they can manage.

You don't have to love Sunrise but at least they are streets ahead of the giggling idiots on the 9 network.

Morning television is not where you put the intellectuals (that's assuming you are on a network where they still have them).

Yeah, I don't watch those guys either. Strictly ABC for me and even then I only watch for 15 mins or so to get the news. The commercial networks are just brain-rot rubbish, you actually feel like you are losing IQ watching this carp. Most of it Infomercials, and when not a lot of it about Caitlin Jenner. I mean who is that and why do we care? Rediculous. And giving airtime to Pauline Hanson. Words fail me.

Was watching a bit of Ch9's Today Show to see the news before muting the broadcast because the rest of the show is just as annoying as CH7's Sunrise and see a promo ad for next week.

It seems that the Today Show team have got itchy feet again and need to take to the skies so they're broadcasting from 5 different cities in 5 days. Doesn't that sound familiar??? They will be visiting Broome, Darwin, Longreach, Sunshine Coast then Melbourne all next week because (put hand on your heart) "we love Australia" (unlike those horribly unpatriotic folk from Sunrise who go overseas).

I was sudd enly brought back to earth with a jolt as I'd completely forgot to have a look at the other mob's Race Around the World inspired efforts. So I immediately switch channels to find Kochie & Sam broacasting from a studio which looks like any other studio however I know they're in New York because the name of the city is emblazoned across the bottom of the screen the entire time to prevent the tv audience mistakenly thinking they were (gasp) broadcasting back in Australia.

They were currently interviewing musicians or in Sunrise speak "Global Music Sensations" Ed Sheeran and Jamie Lawson (who is he?) who "dropped in" from their US tour. Actually they "dropped in" by satellite from Minnesota so weren't technically in the same NYC studio as Kochie and Sam, in fact a cynic may well ask why the duo could not "drop in" to the Sydney studios in the same fashion saving Kochie & Co from making the trip. Did I just say that?

The interview was so drawn out and boring as Kochie and Sam clearly don't know enough about the music industry or their subjects to ask anything intelliegent. Even the musos were exchanging sideways glances at each other that screamed "yawn, how boring is this" with Ed even saying to them "if this was an interview in the US we would have been cut off by now".

I just get the feeling the whole thing is a bit of a fizzer.

Sunrise would be kicking themselves for being away from Canberra yesterday morning. No one cared about london!

Precisely
what I was thinking. A bit of a grass ain't always greener on the other side realisation.

I saw on their website a clip of them in the LHR BA T5 First Galleries Lounge.

Was wondering what the lounge was, my only JFK experience being the AA Flagship Lounge in T8.

A friend went to NYC, rockafeller centre, got herself on tv, in the crowd, she was very excited.

While eating breakfast yesterday morning I turned on Sunrise and noticed that Samantha had a Kate Spade amenity kit in one of the airports so maybe they are in J .

They were on BA LHR/JFK on a 744 assuming the tv footage they showed was of their actual a/c.

They had a 3 hour delay ex LHR so had to have their makeup done on the plane and head directly to NBC studios to film late pm 15 Sep in NYC to coincide with am 16 Sep in Oz.

Has anyone seen Capricorn One? :D

Like my newspapers, I prefer my TV to have more words than pictures.
