Suites savers now available

I am a total newbie to SQ and the krisfyer program but what was the breakdown of this redemption? I have looked at this online calculator: Singapore Airline-KrisFlyer mileage calculator

That tells me SYD-HKG (via singapore) return in suite saver should be 150,000 points. So times 2 should be 300,000 points?

I have just de-linked my QF account from my David Jones AMEX platinum to diversify where my points go...
There is 15% discount for booking online.:)

Thanks - Assumed redemption would be excluded :)

Just on the phone now trying to book something that the website won't let me...

The rep has told me what I want to hear, but then corrected herself....

Another Q!

Trying to book another LHR-SIN-MEL, which I have mentioned before

LHR-SIN only ever shows SQ305/SQ317 and NEVER the other two flights!

When ringing to try to book SQ319/SQ327 then connecting with any of the SIN-MEL flights I am told that it can't be done as each city/paid has a quota of KF redemption seats available.

I can of course book the flights separate but this costs many more KF Miles...

Thoughts ?

I re-read C.Elites previous response to my same Q.

Then used the mobile app to book what I wanted :)

So the question remains, why does the mobile app see more than the web site and now it seems also the SQ booking blossom?

Seems like Christmas has come early, in addition to our first suites/first experience that I managed to redeem the other day, my final points posted in my KF account this morning and I've managed to snag another 2xsuite savers for the trip back! Coming back from CDG - we were going to be there anyway plus the taxes worked out to be a lot less than departing LHR. Can't believe it. I've got 0 miles/credit card points left now haha but no regrets!
Man I love KF right now, 4 x suite savers within one 2wk holiday.

So sorry to hear that you will be suffering all the way to Europe on SQ Suites... Hehe. :D:D:D

Hi Folks

Could anyone here see anything available past Oct 25th to anywhere in Europe ?

It seems the website "froze" at that date for some weeks now.

Even for some dummy dates for paid flights, it won't show anything past Oct 25th.

Usually, one can use today + 354 to work out (which should be 8th Nov 2014) but it ain't there !.

Is this what you're seeing or only my Google chrome ?

Thanks

Just checked using Firefox and experienced similar problem - not frozen, but tells me there are o flights for that criteria.
Tried a second time with dates in Sept 2014 and return on 8th October 2014 and bingo it all works.
Funny, because they grey out the unavailable dates (greater than +354), but as you say, selecting past late October doesn't work.
Call the KF customer centre if you're desperate, otherwise wait a couple of days.
Rgds,
Peter

I had noticed this for more than 10 days now

No, not desperate so I have not called up yet

But curious all the same !

No real reason for a post here, other than to let my good friend, Cove know that we're on for a 2nd crack at Suites on Friday. CDG - SIN then 77W F to MEL.
Ah, bliss

Krug and Dom remain first world problems Duffa.
Enjoy your ride to Paris.
By the way I don't drive when I deplane from a Suites run.
Actually I plan to book some more this week to try to stop our points balances from climbing.

Which Suites have you selected?

3 C & D. As previously advised/warned by you, have NOT gone for windows when travelling with SWMBO!!!
2 others in cabin this time (ignoring 2 C/D which always show full) so should be enough space to have separate bed.

Daughter picking us up in MEL and get a day off Monday so might enjoy the Dom in the afternoon........

A good idea.

I employ a similar tactic of arranging transport, although in Tokyo earlier this year I had to negotiate the NEX and the walk from Shinjuku station to the Hyatt after a couple of bottles of bubbles. Fortunately I knew where I was going...

After booking so long ago, I am only a week out from my trip in the suites. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit I am not as excited as I thought I would be. Let's hope things change in the following days.

Both our sectors (MEL-SIN-LHR) only had 4 suites occupied. We booked the middle seats in row 3 for both flights. The crew offered to make up beds using the spare suites for us but we wanted the novelty of the double beds (it was really 2 single beds with an uncomfortable partition thingy in between), instead we had extra suites for (companion) dining and taking in a view of London for landing. The middle seats turn into 1 big double suite when traveling as a couple - felt much larger than traveling alone in a single suite.

Now planning a few bookings to MXP and MUC. Commonsense dictates that I should be booking the 77Ws and fly direct to both cities so we don't have to put up with an intra Europe connector, but super tempting to book suites all the way to ZRH or CDG followed by a connecting flight.......
