I have used the third one and fourth one on left hand window side with Mrscove on the right hand side so we then used the middle ones for dining and movies. All great places to be.

Just thinking on this... Is TPR is open for award F/Suite bookings? If so how good is it? Is it comparable to Say TG F or LH FCT?

Yes, TPR can be used by award bookings.

It's obviously much smaller than the TG F Lounge in BKK or LH FRA FCT. You walk through the F section to access TPR. There's a small restaurant, nice seating area and dedicated showers and bathrooms for TPR (and I believe the computer section should've been fixed by now since I last flew them!)

It's pretty quiet until it fills up with everyone in F flying on the late night European flights.

The restaurant a la carte is not too bad in quality. Selection not as extensive as QF F or LH F, but much more sophisticated than TG F.

Shower rooms are the smallest of other flagship F lounges that I'm aware of.

It's a tranquil and dimly lit environment, a bit like a Victorian library with the usual SQ affluent charm and marble. There is no spa, no slumberette, no day rooms, no private areas / suites. Just a nice, pleasant little sub-section of the SilverKris lounge.

There is dedicated F check-in area at SIN T3 as well as dedicated passport control, which deposits you airside a mere stone throw away from the escalators going up to the SilverKris lounges. There is no assistant service or car / buggy service from lounge to gate.

Here are some pics to give you an idea:

Thank's very much for those picture anat0l, much appreciated. While it might not have the 'coolness' of the LH FCT it still looks like a nice place to relax!

I call it work - others hold differing views.

cove - IYHO - best Suite if travelling alone?

Now I gotta book a CX flt HKG-PEK - what chance is there I will be able to stand let alone walk when I arrive PEK?

Dom / Krug in Suites MEL-SIN - 3+hrs in TPR consuming Grande Dame - back to the Dom / Krug SIN-HKG - coupla hours in Wing / Pier - Moet I believe there huh? Can't remember what CX serve HKG-PEK in J - might be F yet depending on cost - jeez this is gonna be a bender and a half.

CE, you crack me up. Love your posts.
I recommend lotsa H2O to alleviate the symptoms.

Suggestions please?

Lobster thermidor. 'Twas pretty good when I ordered it; some have been claiming that the lobsters are getting smaller, but it was OK when I had it. Definitely since you are flying out of MEL, there won't be any restaurant to sample or the like, so your appetite will be able to accommodate and enjoy the rich lobster. :)

What's better MEL-SIN-HKG or the other way? Thinking the return, more time in TPR?? Can't justfy too many points. :)

Hmmm.. I think I might have a wedding on the weekend of Chinese Formula 1. :|

Cove,

How do you find your luck with waitlists? Do they clear far out etc?

I've never been one to waitlist much prefer confirmed.

I have never waitlisted.
If I have a problem I call and they are helpful.
Other than that I just click on Saver or Standard and that is it.

Wonderful news! Now it looks like I need to do an unnecessary transit at SIN next time I do SYD-HKG! Looks like Amex MR points and KF miles has gone up in value again!!!!
