Hi there
This is not a request for specific assistance, but more for advice on how I might strucutre an upcoming flight. Im looking at SCL-SYD via USA and Europe over about a 1 month period. Id be looking at around 6 stopovers in the US and 3 in Europe. Im looking at what sort of ticket i might use. I fly QF and would prefer oneworld if possible. Ive looked at RTW (both paid and points) and in this case be sacrificing the last leg. The paid is possibly a little pricey given I do have a minor stash of QF points I can use, but the oneworld explorer on points has very limited stopovers by the looks of it. I was thinking perhaps doing one way points flights for some of the long haul legs (eg SCL-USA, USA-Eur and Eur-Aus) and then separate bookings for the USA internal flights and the Europe sectors (or even using the fantastic train network there). Does anyone have any other suggestions of what might work? Please, dont spend lots of time thinking as id like to work out the details myself (and have that fun for me) but just need a bit of a framework to work with.
Thanks in advance!
