Will be flying to Sydney on Christmas Eve with my family to "housesit" a home on the lower north shore for 7 days.

Need recommendations or suggestions for Christmas Day lunch. Budget is $150-$200 per person.

I know most of the major hotels in the city will be offering Christmas Day buffets but was looking for a different experience.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

You could see if there is a harbour cruise. I know captain cook cruises had some packages for new years eve. Otherwise I'm not really sure. Maybe some of the hotels around the rocks area or the Powerhouse at darling habour. Centerpoint Tower?

My two absolute favourite restaurants in Sydney:

The Boathouse at Blackwattle Bay -- spectacularly good seafood. The fish pie is a particular favourite, but the blinis with caviar and wasabi as entree are scrumptious.

Pilu at Freshwater (near Manly) -- outstanding degustation with magnificently matched wines.

Both have lovely views. The Boathouse at Blackwattle Bay is closer to the city if you'll be staying in a CBD location.
