Hi Experts , I need suggestions to complete 3 legs of Singapore airlines without spending a fortune to meet the criteria to reach SQ Gold. Looking at the current options , the cheapest option is around 1500 AUD.

Any quick tips/suggestions are much appreciated.

Not sure where you are starting from but on SQ website you can book Syd-Mel-Wlg-Mel-Syd in economy class which is 4 legs, two sectors on SQ metal, two sectors on VA metal with an SQ codeshare for $AUD950. This was for random dates in first half of November 2019.

Where are you based on how many miles short of the target are you? Is this for a challenge to get to status? (I imagine so as normally not sector dependent). If so, what does the fine print say - do they have to be SQ operated or is a codeshare OK?

I am based on out of Melbourne and I got Krisflyer Silver ( by virtue of Shangri La Jade). Need to complete three legs of SQ/Silk Air to attain gold and I have time till 20th Jan 2020. Thanks

Is a codeshare flight ok?

Sorry , it has to be a SQ flight number.

On further research , the following looks like a candidate MEL - WLG - SYD - MEL for 700$ in the month of November 2019.

Dont want to look greedy but searching if there is a better deal.

Thanks

The T&C exclude codeshares, it doesn’t specify whether it is codeshares on SQ metal or SQ codes on other airlines metal. As a result I would not want to rely on any SQ coded flights operated by VA. Probably the best chance is 2 returns to WLG or a return to a beyond SIN destination in SE Asia (eg KL, coughet, Bangkok etc). You should be able to get these for around $1000 or even less if lucky , although haven’t looked.
