The FF club has some benefits - including a "concierge" type booking service for flights, where they will do the searching for you.

Does it suit me? No. Perhaps it suits others. For me, I'm content with the various mechanisms I have for finding/booking award flights - eg other carrier's booking systems/Qantas booking system / ExpertFlyer / Frequent Flyer Friend etc etc.

95% of the knowledge you would learn through that 'club' could be easily learnt through here for free.

So it's there as an option for some.
