Strategy to obtain US Amex

Decided to try again after your positive data point, but this is the ID verification requirement I get:

Looks like I just did another hard pull for no benefit :(
I’m really unsure.

Mine was approved today.

I’d try calling them and asking them if you can use your passport?

I can’t see my credit card on my app for now, I’ll call them later to see what more I can do. Let’s also hope they don’t close me down like others said.

While many here have a US cell phone no. Any users here on Rove? It’s a site where you can book flights and hotels as well as US online shopping and earn pretty decent multipliers.

Here is my referral link if interested:
www.rove.com/?signup&referralCode=7UAHMRO5

So you can see with approx USD1300 you can get 41k points and there is a 50% bonus if you transfer out to QF so you could get 60k points on that purchase.

You can also at times book Marriott through Rove and if you have status it can be applied. Other times cheaper to book direct, so again YMMV.

You can transfer to Qatar and if that can get transferred to BA you can book say SYD-MEL with 6500 Avois points plus taxes. Cathay, Virgin Atlantic (hear it’s great between JFK-LHR for J redemptions), Etihad, JAL, Flying Blue and more.

Worth exploring if you have a US cell no & doesn’t require SSN or ITIN.
I did try it out but not keen on it after a few hiccups with them not tracking/rewarded. But the hotel booking is really lucrative. Just dont book enough or found suitable ones for my trips so far. Still prefer the Rukuten - reliably tracking and rewarding.
