Strategy to obtain US Amex

Instead of keeping asking questions, I strongly recommend you reading this thread page by page. You don't see the value of reading then stick to Australian cards. Seriously.
Agree - it seems long but it’s a massive education and so many questions have been answered
But you also get a feel of what works and what doesn’t - this is a very fluid game - it’s doable in a weekend to read it - important you need to know why you are doing things - otherwise could make some mistakes and don’t even realise it.

Everyone here is very helpful and willing to give time to help out

any innovative way of using LULU and Resy credit?
I looked at Lulu GC but looks like the eGC is processed by Cashstar.
On the other hand Physical GC may work as it seems to be directly processed by lulu.

Both seem to be US only. You can't even ship stuff outside of the US with lulu. I was wondering whether you can pay via resy in another country but hard to say.

There was a post on FT about buying GCs from restaurants that are on resy or something.

Find a restaurant on the Resy site at a destination you plan to visit, then go to the restaurant's website and purchase a gift card, be an e-gift card (processed by Toast). Ive been doing this with both my Amex Gold and the monthly $20 Resy credit from the Delta Reserve so I'm sure this new credit will work the same way. Heck, send an egiftcard to your loved ones unless everyone is in the countryside then send it to one of your fellow flyers.

I gotta say that my sign up period was pretty lucky. It's likely I'll get

$300 H2 25, $300 H1 26, $300 H2. Plus the $200 Hotel credit I already used. Looking upwards of 1.1K USD just on hotel credits on a single AF. Not taking into account lulu, resy, and the airline credit.

FWIw I applied in July so I assume my AF will land sometimes around then in 26 and I should be able to hit the Q3 credits before I down grade.

Just had my AF post the other day for the Amex Biz Plat for $695 and get to enjoy the new benefits! Tried a retention offer but it was only 10k points for 5k spend. Has anyone had any luck with using the Dell credit without Dell cancelling the order (I use MyUS still)? I saw something about purchasing through Canada Dell which may allow the credit to post.

A min/max question re Amex.

Do people still downgrade/upgrade to maximise points earn? e.g. downgrade and upgrade in H2 so you can get the H2, H1 +1, H2 + 1 credits before downgrading again?

Is this frowned upon by Amex?

A few months back my Lululemon online order in Australia triggered a Chase offer, so could be worth trying to see if it triggers the new Platinum credit. Worst case Lululemon have a generous returns policy.....
The comments on FT was that lulu from Canada didn't trigger previous Amex credits so I would take that as an indication that it won't work.

Tks. I'm hoping to achieve same sort of return. My card was delivered to me on 16th Sep. Booked a hotel collection for $300+ on the 16th.
Transaction settled yesterday with tran date of 16th Sep. Hoping to see $200 posted without triggering the $300 credit. Let's see how Amex manages this one read few people in similar situation, some with bookings made just one day before the refresh.
