Strategy to obtain US Amex

Have just been approved for a Citi premier card . It will be sent to my planet express address . Does anyone have any experience with calling Citi and letting them know one is travelling and requesting. Card be sent to oz ? Or will that throw up a red flag ?
Congrats! What is your 5/24 status? I am just trying to figure out why I was flat out denied without even a credit pull when I applied from the hotel in LAX a few weeks ago. They were supposed to send a snail mail but my friend hasn't been on Facebook in the last couple weeks, can't get hold of him. My last credit card approved was in May, the Barclays Aviator was instantly approved.

This approval makes me 6/24 with 9 months to go before I drop below . Hence I applied . I believe for Citi and capital one you need to have no HP for at least 6 months .

Thanks, that helps. Maybe I would have better luck if I wait until next month to get safely past 6 month since last HP. But actually I would have to wait until Feb as I won't have enough expenses in a 3 month period until Feb-March-April-May for a $4000 USD minimum spend.

For those of you with ITINs how long did you wait after it was issued to apply for your card using the ITIN?
I applied right away and was approved by Chase .

Thanks, that is pretty good for a starting point. I guess its USD so its going to be more in AUD.
I just got $7 k for Citi premier on a 15 month old itin

Have people had issues with using Citi premier outside the us ? Are there issues with receiving verification codes ?

Received ITIN and applied for CSP around the 15 days mark (maybe I should of waited for a month)

Called up the automated system says 7-10 days will let me know the outcome. (likely to be a decline from above comments)

Called recon line, the agent said they have sent a letter requesting for w-9 form.

Does anyone have any similar experience and what would be the next step?

Do you have an existing credit history? You probably need to let it lapse and apply in a month or two.

Yeah I do, been with US amex for 2 yrs now and was able to see my FICO score before, somehow, it’s not working now.

OK, will wait another a month or two before re applying.

Did you only have a single US amex? Charge or CC? If you haven't spent extensively on your charge card then it might be showing a low credit limit. I also found that applying during promo periods seem to be better due to the perceived easier application.

my first card which was w/o ITIN, done via GT was 15k Amex.
Post ITIN -
hsbc - 7k (credit history 6mo)
2XAmx biz 5 k each (credit history 5/6mo)
another personal amx - 15k (credit history 9mo)

I'm pretty positive you can still access a bank account via wise.

It shouldn't be a checking account. Your bank details are there when you login and click on USD tile.

How do people get instant payments to pay off card? I have a 3k limit and need to spend $15k and it takes ages. My usual process
Transfer funds into wise -> transfer funds from wise to Amex checking/uS HSBC -> select on US amex app to make payment from designed account

The whole process takes way too long. Anyway to make it faster?

It’s a Marriott card, spending around 3k last year when staying at Marriott or for food.

You mean to wait and apply when there’s a large SUB?

Is it a new account? Might have to wait a bit

also I am now trying to transfer funds from my WISE USD account to my Amex cc acount to payoff my balance. however, for the reference, it requires both my amex account number and name and the reference box wont allow me to put in all the account numbers and name due to length limit.

Anyone have any idea how to start a payment to AMEX from WISE account? and what to put in for reference? thanks in advance
