How do you get/request free stopovers?
Have noticed is possible to fly United SYD to London, approx $1475.00, via LAX, New York, etc..
Would it be possible to have one or two week stopover in say New York within that fare price.
Fare rules read "2 Stopovers permitted on the pricing unit. Limited to 1 Free and 1 at AUD135.00, etc.."
Your response appreciated.

It's O.K. - I worked it out. Use Multiple Destinations on United Website (or Multiple Trips on Trip ADVISOR).
Small glitch on United website will show astronomical prices (at first), but when selected will calculate correct price for whole itinery.
Syd to London return (with stopover in US) $1600.
Thanks

I've also used the www.jetabroad.com.au site for fare comparisons but I'm yet to use it to actually make a booking on that site. UA is a good option if you want to stop in the USA on the way over & back from Europe if you're tired of the SIN or BKK scenario.

I'm fairly certain UA only give you one piece for your baggage allowance whereas it used to be two which was more appealing vs the 23kg scenario via Asia.
