Great for Card storage, as it converts user numbers to barcodes which can be scanned at the checkout, also very user friendly to scan your card barcode and set up all your loyalty cards . 5 outta 5 from me and its free.

Only took me half an hour to set up all my loyalty cards, and most were pre programmed in the app already.

Yes I agree. Been using it for a year or so now. Excellent when you find yourself looking for a hotel or car hire and haven't brought the physical cards with you.

Latest version offers cloud backup but unfortunately only to their own cloud and I'm not happy to trust third parties. I asked them to support iDevice backup directly and they said that maybe looked into but their method allowed sync between android and iDevices which is a fair comment.

Downloaded stocard for my samsung sgs2, unfortunately woolworths doesn't seem to be able to scan my phone's screen
Failed me at 3 different woolies and a big w so far. So back to the physical card.

Laser barcode readers can't read from LCD screens. Only the newer optical barcode readers can.

That's interesting to know... does that mean only newer stores would scan from a phone?

I've read as much. Bit disappointing and really diminishes the usefulness of the app for me.
Though I wondered if other people had the same issue, as it seems plenty of people use stocard without problems, and what work arounds people have done to get it to work.

Do people have success scanning their iphones at woolies/coles? The reviews on itunes are pretty unfavourable with most people saying it seldom works.

My experience since posting on 24th Feb (#8) - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I've found it easier just to use the regular card.

I have found it to be a dud in the couple of places I have tried, it was a great idea in theory but it is good how ever for keeping your card numbers in the one place.

In the past I stood at the checkout (both at coles and woolies) for ages trying to scan my phone. In the end I would always give up and just use the card.
Successful in about 0 of 5 attempts.

Unsure if the iphone version will make any difference.
