Hi over the next few weeks my wife and am flying all economey with Garuda ( Sing - London), Air Maroc ( London- Casablanca) and Etihad ( Abu Dhabi - Sydney). Etihad just sent me a request to join their Frequent Flyer Program, however I want to try and claim point under my Virgin Australia card. However I notice that Etihad also allows me to claim points for flights on Garuda and Air Maroc. Should I join Etihad program?
Thanks

I think Etihad is the most useful to claim the Garuda and Maroc programmes (a)you can top up with Flybuys and Amex (b) there are some good value EY tedemptions on VA flights (c) no other good options.
I would personally ask at checkin if I could change the FF number to VA on the boarding pass for the AUH-SYD leg edpecially if you need the Status Credits or are eligible for a Status Bonus
